Esperanto “Access to Language Education” Award, 2020

After winning the “Geneva Award” in 2019 (For details, please visit  here), the Corpus-aided Platform for Language Teachers (CAP) you are currently visiting received yet again an award in May 2020. It is our great honour to be presented the Esperanto “Access to Language Education” Award by the Computer Assisted Language Instruction Consortium, the Esperantic Studies Foundation, and Lernu.net in the USA. This award recognises only one website a year, remarking the unique and global contribution to language education by us.

This CAP website aims to provide a variety of corpus-based resources to transfer the knowledge of corpus linguistics to school teachers and the general public. It provides a platform for language teachers to showcase a corpus-based language pedagogy, i.e., how to integrate corpus tools as corpus resources into classroom teaching. Users of this platform are often inspired by the resourceful archive of teaching materials and corpus-informed materials (e.g., user guide of corpus tools, corpus-based lesson plan samples, etc.).
