Title: Using Nearpod to engage students and conduct formative assessment in online teaching
Abstract:
Nearpod is a powerful online teaching tool for conducting online lessons. It enables the lecturer to design interactive lessons containing various activities such as Quizzes, Polls, Videos, Collaborate Boards, Line-Drawings, and Open-Ended Questions. In addition, it is easy for students to complete interactive tasks via Nearpod. Student feedback shows that doing Nearpod tasks is one of their most enjoyable part in experiencing online teaching. From the lecturer’s viewpoint, conducting online teaching via Nearpod helps the lecturer monitor students’ learning progress, assess them formatively, and understand their motivation and needs.

Title: 如何運用「同理心」及「影片式 (Video-based) 教學策略」為學生設計網上自學教材 (in Cantonese)
內容提要
大學近年積極發展各種網上自學教材，鼓勵學生於課後持續學習。過去數年，講者為學生設計了「中文成語」、「職場中文傳意」、「中文教育多媒體資料庫」等網上自學教材，是次將分享昔日設計、製作這類電子平臺的經驗。
