Speaking

What is speaking?
It is commonly accepted that speaking is one of the four main language skills when speaking of teaching and learning of a language. To be more precise, it is a productive, oral skill considering its direction and modality.  Florez defined speaking as "an interactive process of constructing meaning that involves producing and receiving and processing information” and thought of it as "often spontaneous, open-ended, and evolving" (1999, p. 1). In fact, when we speak, factors from various aspects, such as physical, mental, psychological, social, and cultural, must work together, so it is quite impressive if someone speaking effectively in a non-native language.
